TECH Directional has been supplying directional drilling services to Vale’s Voisey’s Bay site since the fall of 2010. This service is critical to the success of our infill/delineation program where we have to maintain precise control on our drill holes. The overburden thickness and ground conditions on this project are particularly challenging! TECH Directional has been very successful in reaching our targets and reducing the amount of new drilling through branching from existing holes and effectively orienting the holes with the Devidrill tool. Our experience has been very positive; we are completing our project with much less direct drilling thus saving both time and money.
